I was recently playing a popular computer game called Civilization IV and during the game I heard the following phrase:

"A man who chases two rabbits will end up with none."

I don’t recall who the author of that statement is - I’ll have to look that up…

But,

It is very, very powerful.  Really, it is a kick in the head for me.  Here is how I interpret the statement:

"If I chase too many projects simultaneously, I will end up not accomplishing anything signficant."
 
The word that seems to sum it all up is "Focus."

Decide what is important in your life and focus on that - don’t get easily side-tracked.

Perhaps "Focus" should be one of my goals for 2007.  We’ll see…
